The Italian government recently announced the reduction of the statutory investment obligations for video-on-demand (VoD) platforms. By modifying the 2021 Media Law, Georgia Meloni’s government has reduced the percentage of turnover which streaming platforms have to invest in European films from 20% to 16%.
