TUNISIA / Raja Amari completes her 3rd film, “Corps Etranger”

On March 8th the director of “Satin Rouge” and “Secrets”, Raja Amari, finished shooting her third feature film, “Corps Etranger” (Foreign Body) shot in Lyon and Tunisia.
Co-produced by the French Mon Voisin Productions (Dominique Besnehard) and the Tunisian Nomadis Images (Dora Bouchoucha), the film is about a young woman arriving in France illegally after the Jasmine Revolution. She is terrified her brother, an Islamic fundamentalist whom she has denounced to the authorities, might track her down in her new country.
Sarra Hannachi takes the lead role in a cast which includes Israeli-Palestinian actress Hiam Abbass and French/Algerian Salim Kechiouche. Written by the director with Agnès Feuvre and Jacques Fieschi, the film has already been pre-purchased by Ciné Plus and TV5MONDE. It could be shown this autumn at the Carthage Film Festival, which will be held from October 28th to November 5th.
