From August 10th to 13th the cultural association Allelammie in collaboration with Namavista Films, is organizing the 17th Lucania Film Festival in Pisticci and Matera.
The event, which has welcomed 12,500 directors since its inception, every year shows a selection of independent films from around the world.
Besides its international competition of short and feature films, the festival offers retrospectives of well-known directors, video installations, a rural cinema – and all of it in a very particular atmosphere, since the various events take place in the middle of the open pastures, cornfields and farms so typical of this part of Southern Italy.
The competition is open to any film between 30 and 120 minutes long, fiction, documentary or animation, and the call for entries closes on April 3rd 2016.
