On September 27th, Favvs, Algeria ’s first virtual festival of videos to increase public awareness, was launched in El Kala National Park.

Organized by the digital agency Elevatîn, the event hopes to bring amateur and professional content creators together to create projects of public interest: for this first year, the theme is eco-tourism. “Favvs is a prestigious space for artistic expression and a great opportunity to discover, appreciate, applaud and encourage the hidden talents of our young people, who are bearers of positive, constructive messages, wherever they are, whether in Algeria or abroad.”
Applicants must register for the competition before November 30th on the platform www.favvs-algerie.com.
The first three winners will be announced at the end of December 2021. The jury consists of media, environmental and tourism professionals and is chaired by Leila Aoudj, former artistic director of the Rencontres cinématographiques de Béjaïa.
Algeria’s Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, and the Ministry of the Environment are all official sponsors of the event.
