The Sanad Foundation, giving production aid to Arab World films, published the 2015 list of those film projects which will receive grants either for development or post-production.
From the 178 applications, 20 projects were selected – 11 in development and 9 in post-production. 50% of recipients are women film-makers. There are five Tunisian projects (1 in development and 4 in post-production), 3 Egyptian projects (2 in development and 1 in post-production), 3 Lebanese projects (2 in development and 1 in post-production) 2 Algerian projects (1 in development and 1 in post production), 2 Emirati projects in development, two Palestinian projects in development, two Syrian projects in post-production and one Iraqi project in development.
The aim of the fund is to support projects by new film-makers while encouraging artistic innovation from more experienced film-makers.
