Since the beginning of March, TRT World has been broadcasting the documentary series Surviving Assad.
This six-episode series highlights the systematic human rights violations committed by the Assad regime in Syria. Through the testimonies of survivors and witnesses, the documentaries expose the mass executions, torture, and enforced disappearances perpetrated by the regime. The first episode, It’s Your Turn, Doctor, focuses on the brutal murder of 13-year-old Hamza, which helped trigger the war in Syria.
In the words of TRT World Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, this documentary is “a call to the conscience of humanity, a stand against the disappearance of truth into darkness.”
