The 21st ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival took place from March 30th to April 6th. 107 documentaries were shown in 16 categories, including international and regional competitions.
This year in the regional competition the jury awarded the prestigious Big Stamp to Dalija Dozet for
My Dad’s Lessons (Croatia). In her intimate documentary, Ms. Dozet commemorates her father through the home videos and photographs he took all his life.
The Special Mention in the same category was awarded to Maja Novaković’s At the Door of the House Who Will Come Knocking (Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina). Set in the heart of rural Bosnia-Herzegovina, the film follows an old man’s daily routine living with his horse in the freezing cold.
Running in parallel, the industry event ZagrebDox Pro was held from April 1st to 5th. Eight documentary projects at various stages of production were presented.
