Her short film “Sunflower” was selected for the 2014 PriMed, now Turkish director Nejla Demirci is using crowd-funding to complete the her new documentary, “Confrontation” (Yüzleşme).
Over three years she has interviewed more than 400 women with breast cancer, many of whom agreed to talk every day to her about their illness, its treatment, their struggles, their hopes.
Nejla Demirci has accumulated 60 hours of footage with the aim of showing that people affected by breast cancer, “are not alone and have plenty of reasons to believe in a happy future.”
To complete the final cut, record the music, have a translation made, run a good marketing campaign and participate at international festivals, the director is trying to raise $25,000 by July.
