TUNISIA / Tunisian Radio organises a conference on AI at the ASBU

As part of World Radio Day on February 13th, the Établissement de la Radio Tunisienne organised a symposium at the ASBU headquarters called “Media and Artificial Intelligence: From Scientific Research to Professional Practice.”

Journalists, experts, and researchers were invited to the event to share their knowledge and thoughts on the use of generative artificial intelligence.

During her address, Henda Ben Alaya, the head of Tunisian Radio, explained the choice of theme: “Faced with these rapid digital developments, it’s essential to provide media professionals with the appropriate training and support to enable them to use these tools responsibly.”

Maledh Marrakchi, an AI expert and academic, discussed the Arab AI Pact, which was launched in July 2025 during the 2nd Arab Days of Artificial Intelligence. Its objective is to foster scientific cooperation between Arab countries and exchange views on the ethical challenges of these tools.
