Roya Media Group has announced the co-production of its first Egyptian comedy series, El Souq El Horra, in collaboration with the Egyptian company Stars Media for production and distribution.
This comedy series is set in the duty-free zone of an international airport, where stories of transit passengers intertwine with the daily lives of airport staff.
The series concept was developed by The Creative Lab, Roya Media Group’s content innovation unit. Script development was handled by an Egyptian team to ensure cultural authenticity. The script is written by Hisham Yehia, and the series directed by Shady Ali.
With 30 episodes, El Souq El Horra will be shown during Ramadan on Roya TV.
