On June 16th Awatef Dali was appointed CEO of the ETT (Etablissement de la télévision tunisienne). In fact she had been the interim CEO since 2021, following the departure of Lassaad Dahech.
Working for nearly 30 years within ETT, Awatef Dali joined the company in 1994 as a presenter for Alwataniya 1 and Alwataniya 2, a post she held until 2000. During the same period, between 1995 and 2003, she was a weather presenter on Alwataniya 1. At the time she was the first female non-engineer to present it. Between 2000 and 2019 she produced and presented Alwataniya 1’s health programme. She also produced several documentaries and reports on the same subject. In October 2017 she was appointed director of the national channel Alwataniya 1.
