The 23rd Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is calling for applications for its new podcast competition. Following the success of its workshops and the enthusiastic response from the public, the festival’s special podcast competition is now officially open.
Fiction podcasts, documentary podcasts, and either fiction or documentary podcasts which incorporate interviews are all eligible; those in Greek will be in a separate category from those in English. Each winner will receive a prize worth €2,000 awarded by a jury of well-known audiovisual professionals.
There are two conditions for participating in the competition:
- each podcast shown at the Festival must be a world premiere – and remain unpublished until the end of the Festival on July 5th
- they must not be uploaded to any online platform, whether publicly accessible or requiring a subscription.
- podcasts should be between 20 and 60 minutes long.
The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival deadline for subscription is May 14th on jotform.com.
