The Direzione Generale Cinema e Audiovisivo of the Italian Ministry of Culture has announced that subsidies worth €5 million are available for feature films being co-produced with a minority Italian participation. The grants will be allocated between May 10th and June 4th 2021, then from September 6th to October 1st 2021.
The conditions for eligibility are:
– the Italian company must have a minority share in the rights of the finished film compared to the share of the non-Italian company.
– to be eligible, a production must be created by one or more Italian companies and one or more non-Italian companies based in a country which has a film and broadcasting co-production agreement with Italy.
The requests should be sent to the Italian Ministry of Culture ’s platform: DGCOL.
