Like many other cultural events, the D’A Film Festival Barcelona has chosen not to cancel its festival but to programme it online. The organisers are keeping to the original date, so the event will run as planned from April 30th to May 10th. 47 feature films and 20 shorts can be viewed on the Spanish site Filmin.
The D’A Film Festival Barcelona has a policy of supporting independent cinema – more innovative and personal films by younger people. The Talents Award, worth €10,000 will be given to the best film by a director who has not made more than three films.
The French production On a Magical Night by Christophe Honoré will open the event. The Catalan film A Stormy Night by David Moragas will close it.
