The Euro-Mediterranean documentary market and pitching forum MEDIMED is launching its call for projects and new documentary productions. The 23rd market will take place in Sitges, Spain from October 13th to 16th 2022.
MEDIMED is an international documentary market specializing in promoting and distributing films and new projects from the European Union and Mediterranean countries. The aim is to encourage dialogue between television professionals and independent producers as well as to develop the financing and distribution of films both in these territories and around the world.
Regarding applications, the documentaries must be recent (2021-2022) and from a European or Mediterranean country. They must be of a suitable length for television. All types and formats are accepted.
The event offers a public PITCHING FORUM. Directors and producers present their documentary project or film to leading international financiers, hoping to attract a co-producer. Projects entered in the PITCHING FORUM must already have either 25% of budget and/or an agreement with a broadcaster/co-producer.
Films at an advanced stage of editing (rough cut) can apply in the ANTI PITCH section and projects in development but without financial support can be submitted to the SPEEDY PITCH section.
An international jury will select which of the programmes and projects submitted will be presented to a group of international television producers.
Registration is free and must be sent by June 30th 2022.
