SPAIN / Conecta Fiction Reboot reorganised online

Conecta Fiction is an international event centred round audiovisual co-production. Although initially the meetings were due to take place from June 22nd to 25th, an alternative version was created in the context of the health crisis. Conecta Fiction Reboot was held online from June 15th to 18th.

In this 2020 edition, the spotlight was on France as part of “Focus Europe”. Several masterclasses were organised, in particular one about relaunching co-productions: “Rebooting co-productions: the delicate art of dating” (June 16th at 5 p.m.). Moderated by Géraldine Gonard, director of Conecta Fiction, this round table included Alice Delaland (head of CNC’s fiction-animation department), Nathalie Biancolli (head of international drama and acquisitions at France Televisions), Thomas Anargyros (president of the USPA and director of Storia Television) and Nicolas Deprost (managing director of Wild Horses).

Other sessions addressed diversity in the broadcasting industry (“Connect Wo(Men) – tips by leading women in the audiovisual industry” on June 17th at 5 pm) and current filming conditions (“Restarting the industry: reasons for optimism?” June 15th at 5 p.m.).

The platform will remain open until June 26th, allowing access to its services. Then a new meeting will complete this year’s Reboot. A physical event is planned for September 2nd and 3rd in Pamplona.
