The Palestinian Film Institute (PFI) published a call for projects, now closed, for those wishing to take part in the Cannes Film Festival’s film market, Cannes Docs.
Before the market, leaders of the projects selected by an international jury will be given advice on strategy by the Institute’s industry consultants. Then, at Cannes, they will present their films in a screening room. The projects will also be eligible for the Cannes Docs Award, worth €10,000.
The PFI is a voluntary and independent Palestinian non-profit created in 2019. It was born of a shared desire among Palestinian film professionals to create an organization to develop, promote and preserve Palestinian films while also empowering the film industry in Palestine and for Palestinians around the world.
