Palestiniennes (Palestinian Women) is a web-series produced by Mariette Auvray. From Haifa to Ramallah she talked to young women about their daily lives and work. Although each is very different, the nine women interviewed share a common battle: to preserve Palestinian identity and culture.
Having made Goodbye Jerusalem (2018) about young Israelis, Mariette Auvray began to take an interest in Israeli and then Palestinian cultural life. From the outset she wanted to show this cultural scene through the women who are part of it.
The three episodes of her series will be posted on the Courrier International web-site. The first has been available since July 10th, the second since the 17th and the third as from July 24th.
Palestinian Women received financial support from the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region and the Roberto Cimetta Fund. The web-series is distributed by Beliane and produced by Dryades Films.
