In a recent press-release, BBC Studios announced a partnership with CosmoBlue Media to “expand its footprint across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Turkey.”
This collaboration will take the form of a new general-interest channel in the region and the integration of BBC Player into the Cosmo GO streaming platform. CosmoBlue will also manage and distribute BBC First, BBC Earth, and CBeebies programmes and channels in several countries.
These initiatives will enable British programmes to broaden their reach across Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa. As Arran Tindall, President EMEA, Global Channels & Streaming, stated: “This is a significant step in developing greater business across Turkey and the MENA region, enabling our compelling content to reach and engage new audiences wherever they are and across all platforms.”
