FRANCE / FIPADOC presents its selection of international pitches

FIPADOC

One of the professional events organised by FIPADOC, the International Documentary Film Festival, will be International Pitch Sessions, taking place from January 26th to 29th.

During four sessions 24 pre-selected projects will be pitched to a panel of over 60 European and international decision-makers, including representatives from France Télévisions, ARTE, RTBF, RTS, SVT, BBC, Al Jazeera, and ZDF, as well as numerous other distributors, television channels, international sales agents, festivals, and funding bodies.

Moderated by Margje de Koning and Gitte Hansen, these sessions will focus on the theme of democracy. “Documentary as an art form,” they stated, “is an essential tool for keeping our democratic system alive.

Among the selected projects, a three-episode series Bad Match (Switzerland, France) retraces the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in reverse, from Gaza in 2025 back to the creation of the State and the Nakba in 1948, focussing on the economics.

Titles such as Live Till Death (Spain), Renzo. The Measure of Things (Italy), and Strings of Power (Israel, Germany) are also included in this selection.
