Organised by the Malta Film Commission, the Mediterrane Film Festival returns for its fourth year from June 21st to 28th.
Entitled “Beyond Together,” it brings together the film sector’s culture, industry and talent through screenings and networking opportunities. As Johann Grech, Malta’s Film Commissioner, explains: “The Mediterrane Film Festival continues to grow as a platform connecting Malta to the global film industry.”
This year’s programme promises to be even richer, featuring two international competitions. The Big Screen Competition will show a selection of the best general public films from established and emerging directors, while the Mediterranean Competition highlights the diversity of the region’s productions.
Three other sections will also offer a selection of films, including Mare Nostrum, focussing on environmental issues, and Malta Focus with a selection of Maltese shorts and feature films.
