Les frères Manetti
In late May Marco and Antonio Manetti, two brothers making cult films, began shooting their eighth feature film, “Nun è Napule” (a working title) in Naples.
Thus they remain faithful to the city which was the setting of their previous film, “Napule Song’e” (2013) winner of two David di Donatello awards.
In “Nun è Napule”, Don Vincenzo, a Camorra godfather, decides to change his life with the help of his wife, using any means necessary to disappear from circulation. On his journey he meets a nurse and a hit-man in existential crisis.
Filming will take two months. Once finished in Naples, the crew will fly to New York to shoot several scenes there.
The Manetti brothers are working with two actors from their previous film: Giampaolo Morelli and Serena Rossi, accompanied by Claudia Gerini and Carlo Buccirosso in the role of Don Vincenzo.
Produced by Madeleine Film and the Manetti brothers’ own production company, with RAI Cinema and distributed by 01 Distribution, “Nun è Napule” will be in Italian cinemas in 2017.
