Paolo Del Brocco, CEO of Rai Cinema gave a press conference on April 11th to present the group’s international co-productions. In particular, he cited productions with prestigious directors: “Everybody Knows” with Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, his first film in Spanish; “Il peccato” with Russian director Andrei Konchalovskye and “Opera senza autore” with German director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck.
There are also new co-productions in the pipeline, such as “Hammamet” by Gianni Amelio and “Lacrime di sale” by Maurizio Zaccaro.
Del Brocco also announced that several Italian directors – Matteo Garrone, Alice Rohrwacher and Valerie Golino – will present their films during the Cannes Film Festival.
