ITALY / Simona Martorelli at the head of RAI’s International Relations

Radiotelevisione Italiana, the Italian public service broadcaster, has reorganized its communication cell.

In particular Simona Martorelli has been appointed RAI’s Deputy Director of International Relations and European Affairs.

Since 1999 she has been in charge of Public Affairs at RAI’s Liaison Office in Brussels. From 2005 to 2008 she served as National Expert to the European Commission in the Audiovisual and Media Policies Unit.

Having started her career at Hearst ABC (New York) before joining RAI in 1984, she now has the benefit of more than 30 years experience in broadcasting.
