Earlier this year, as part of their new partnership, France Télévisions and RAI Doc launched a call for international documentary proposals. In June, during the Sunny Side of the Doc, they announced the results.
The broadcasters’ aim is to create and finance co-productions between Italian and French producers. The proposals have to fit into one of three themes set by the organizers: “Iconic European cultural figures”, “International or geopolitical society” or “Iconic sports figures or great sports stories”.
Each project is limited to two episodes, each with a maximum length of 52 minutes.
Among the thirty proposals received two were selected: The Force of Destiny, produced by Federation Studios & MeMo Film and The Match, produced by Stand By Me & Breath Film.
