Produced by Bambú Producciones, the Spanish series La Promesa (The Vow) has been sold by the Studiocanal group to several TV channels, including C8 (France) and Dubai TV (North Africa and the Middle East).
Written by Josep Cister Rubio, Susana Prieto, Ruth García and Carmen Llano, La Promesa is set in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century and centres on a maid working for a ruthlessly powerful but declining Spanish family.
HRT (Croatia), KTV (Kosovo) and LRT (Lithuania) had already bought the first season and have signed to buy the second. The third season is currently being filmed.
The production, acquisition and distribution company Studiocanal is a subsidiary of the Canal+ group.
