ITALY / €1.7 million to film in the Emilia-Romagna Region

The Official Bulletin of the Emilia-Romagna Region has confirmed in its February edition the grants available this year for the film and television industry. As the Region announced at the Berlin Festival, €1.2 million will go to national and international productions which are filmed either partly or completely in the region.
The deadline for applications is July 31st, subsidies will be allocated until the funds are exhausted. Feature films, TV films and TV series are eligible for a maximum grant of €150,000 each, the maximum for documentaries and docu-dramas is €50,000 and for web-series €25,000. Each candidate may submit two projects.
Two other tenders are currently active, but only for candidates living or working in the Emilia-Romagna region. The first, with €400,000, is open until April 6th, with a new session scheduled between July 26th and August 26th. The second regional tender, with the same April 6th deadline for applications, has €75,000 for the development of film and broadcasting works.
In addition to this €1.7 million support for producers, the region will also help festivals and other cinema and broadcasting events up to €1 million in 2016.
