Buen Camino

Released in Italian cinemas on December 25th 2025, Buen Camino has become the highest-grossing film at the Italian box office in just 24 days, surpassing the record held by James Cameron’s Avatar (2009).

In little over three weeks, Buen Camino sold 8,736,227 tickets and generated over €70 million in revenue. This record has had a positive impact on the entire film industry, particularly on Italian cinemas, which have seen a significant increase in attendance.

Directed by Gennaro Nunziante, the film follows a wealthy and spoiled heir (played by comedian Checco Zalone) who abandons his luxurious lifestyle to reconnect with his teenage daughter. Reluctantly, he sets off on the Camino de Compostela pilgrimage, where he faces new challenges at every turn.
