From February 13th to March 4th, Lyons became the European capital of animated film with its festival “Cartoon movie”.
Cartoon Movie is a magnet for animation professionals, bringing together nearly 700 directors, producers, financiers and distributors. Every year since 2009 more than 60 feature films at various stages of production from thirty different countries have been shown here. Projects can be submitted right from the concept stage, when they’re in development, in production or as a finished film.
But professionals are not the only ones watching the animated films. The general public can also enjoy «On cartoon dans le grand Lyon», which returned for the sixth consecutive year! It offered to both young and old the chance to discover a panorama of 2016 creations. 28 cinemas in and around Lyon screened several feature films and/or short films. An opportunity to see the best European animated film on the big screen. All this accompanied by master classes, meetings, workshops for young people. An event not to be missed!
