The GREC is launching its call for applications for the Short Film Screenplay workshop-residency, which will be held in Porto-Vecchio, Corsica. Registration is open until July 25th.

Organised in partnership with the Cinémathèque de Corse and with the support of FEAC (a fund for artistic & cultural exchanges in French overseas territories) and the Collectivité de Corse, the Short Film Screenplay residential workshop provides group work sessions and individual support from scriptwriters: discussions on participants’ scripts, directing with a director, film analysis with a film critic and pitch preparation by a producer.
The workshop brings together 15 writer-directors who each have a short film script (fiction, documentary, experimental, etc.).
The aim is to enable participants to express their intentions clearly and have the tools to finalise the script stage of their project, and then to be prepared for the pre-production and making of the film. The two-week residency encourages exchanges between participants and allows for networking with film professionals (screenwriters, directors, producers, broadcasters).
