The 31st FIDMarseille will take place as planned, but due to the Covid-19 crisis its schedule has been altered. FIDLab, the platform for supporting international co-production, took place online between July 6th and 10th. FID festival will be held in Marseille cinemas from July 22nd to 26th. It will be the first French film festival to retain its “physical” form since mid-March.
Also new this year, FID is partnering with the Alice-Guy Award for a French film directed by a woman. It will go to one of the directors in the competitive section Flash. This section has 22 films, 13 of them directed by women. This first FID Alice-Guy Award is funded by the Ministry of Culture.
