FRANCE / Call for films for the 8th La Première Fois Festival

The call for applications has been launched for the 8^th festival for first documentaries, La Première Fois, from February 27^th to March 5^th 2017 in Aix-en-Provence and nearby towns.

Les Films du Gabian, an association of independent documentary film-makers, has organized this event since 2010. Each year an established documentary-maker is also honoured with a retrospective. In parallel the association organizes a workshop to discuss films currently in production (Premier Jet), and educational activities around images (going out to high schools).

For this 8th year, the candidate call is open to any first documentary, although “giving precedence to proposals showing originality of concept”. News items, news programmes, journalistic documentaries, promotional films and corporate films are all excluded.

The applications can be submitted until October 15^th by writing to this address.
