The Franco-German channel, Arte, has acquired the Israeli series Bloody Murray from Yes Studio. Renamed Dana & Murray, the 9 episodes will be available on Arte.tv until November 16th.
Created by Stav Idisis, Dana & Murray follows the fortunes of two room-mates, Dana and Murray, who both find being single more and more problematic. Their lives are turned upside down when Murray is involved in a hit-and-run car accident, followed by an unexpected meeting with the victim of the accident, Lior.
Sharon Levi, Managing Director of Yes Studios said: “We are pleased to have extended our relationship with Arte by concluding a deal for this entertaining comedy. With its wonderfully drawn characters, light touch and all the feel-good fun and wit of a romcom, we expect this delightful series will prove a big hit with Arte audiences.”
Almost two years after its broadcast in Israel, a second season is currently being prepared.
