The free-to-view channel Asharq Discovery has launched Bassma, a new TV series about iconic Arab women.
Scheduled for ten episodes, Bassma presents pioneering women who are considered amongst the most inspirational in the contemporary Arab world: Egyptian actress Yusra, Moroccan singer Samira Saeed, lawyer Sofana Dahlan and aerospace engineer Mishaal Ashemimry, both from Saudi Arabia, are among those featured.
The show is only available on Asharq Discovery, which is in turn only accessible by satellite via Arabsat, Nilesat and Asharq NOW.
Launched in 2022 by Warner Bros Discovery and the SRMG Group, Asharq Discovery reaches audiences in North Africa and the Middle East. It integrates with other Asharq channels: Asharq News, Asharq Business and Asharq Documentary, the Asharq News Network.
