Zagreb Dox

The winners of the 20th ZagrebDox were announced at its awards ceremony on April 21st. During the previous 8 days 102 films in 12 sections had been screened at this international documentary festival.

From the 19 films in the International Competition, the main award, Big Stamp, went to a Tunisian film, Kaouther Ben Hania’s Les Filles d’Olfa. In the Regional Competition, the Big Stamp went to a Hungarian, French, Croatian co-production, KIX by Dávid Mikulán and Bálint Révész which also won the Young Jury Award and the Fripesci Award.

Also in the Regional Competition, Šutnja Razuma’s Silence of Reason (Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia) received a Special Mention. This documentary looks back at the first case heard at the International Criminal Court, which made it possible to prosecute sexual violence as a crime against humanity.

Screened during the closing session, No Other Land (Palestine, Norway) by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szo won the Aviteh Audience Award.
