CROATIA / The Croatian documentary “Pavilion 6” to have its world premier at the Sheffield DocFest

Pavilion 6

The feature-length documentary, Pavilion 6, by Croatian director Goran Dević will premiere at Sheffield DocFest in England (June 12th – 17th). It is one of 8 titles selected for the international competition.

Produced by Art Productions with support from BBC Storyville, Pavilion 6 was filmed at the Zagreb Fair Complex during the mass vaccination programme imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The film follows the different people there, their interactions and their conversations.

When asked about the film’s future, producer Hrvoje Osvadić replied that “since its premiere at the Sarajevo Film Festival last year, the film has attracted the attention of many festivals and broadcasters. We were very lucky that the BBC bought the broadcasting rights as soon as we launched the distribution. So I am confident that Pavilion 6 will continue to be in demand and will find an audience on various television channels and at festivals in the coming years.”

Goran Dević is a founder and director of the production company Petnaesta umjetnost and teaches documentary film at Zagreb’s Academy of Dramatic Arts.
