CROATIA| / Ivana Škrabalo’s first feature “Five Days at the Sea” starts post-production

Croatian director Ivana Škrabalo’s first feature Five Days at the Sea is currently in post-production.

A young woman, Maša, and her boyfriend visit the island where her long-time friend Jagoda has just moved with her partner. Although Maša is pregnant, she keeps this secret from the father of the unborn child, confiding only in her friend.

In an interview with FNE, Croatian producer Tena Gojic describes the film as “the story of two couples awkwardly navigating the challenges of late coming-of-age. Their conversations teeter on the edge of absurdity, much like the situations they stumble into in this seemingly idyllic getaway.”

With a budget of €629,000, the feature film received support from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the national broadcaster HRT, the Slovenian Film Centre, TZ Sali and the North Macedonian Film Agency.
