The Swedish production company Yellow Bird, affiliated to Banijay Nordic, is in pre-production for A Life’s Worth, a drama series written by Mona Masri and Oliver Dixon and directed by Ahmed Abdullahi.

Adapted from Magnus Ernström’s novel of the same name, it is set in late 1993, during the war in Bosnia. Swedish UN soldiers embark on a perilous mission to bring peace to a torn country.

For producer Maida Krak “this series is one of the bravest we have produced. It shows Swedish UN troops in the midst of an alarming conflict, while exploring the dynamics of friendship and love.”

A Life’s Worth is also produced by Arte France and Viaplay Content Distribution. It received support from the EU’s MEDIA programme and the Nordisk Film & TV Fund.
