ALGERIA / Call for film projects for the Béjaïa Film Laboratory

The organizers of the Rencontres Cinématographiques at Bejaia are giving a writing grant and a completion grant to North African film-makers and producers as part of the second Bejaia Film Laboratory.
The writing grant (Prix des Ateliers Sauvages Hafid Tamzali) is for 200,000 dinars (€1,600 euros), with the winner being given a 4 week writing residency.
The completion grant (Prix Mouny Berrah), is for 300,000 dinars (€2,400) and will also cover editing costs for 8 weeks.
Between 4 and 6 projects will be preselected for each scholarship. Their directors and producers will be invited to present their projects to a jury of professionals at the 14th Bejaia Rencontres Cinématographiques, from September 3rd to 9th 2016. The winners will be announced on September 9th.
Nominations are open to all North African film-makers and producers (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia), with no age limit. The deadline to submit a project is July 15th 2016. The chosen candidates will be informed during the second half of August.
