As Ramadan approaches, several Algerian television channels have announced details of the series which will feature in their schedules.
Samira TV is highlighting two programmes, El Kiyya and Fatma, the latter directed by Djaffar Gacem, known for several successful series including Djemaï Family, Achour El Acher, and Dar Lefchouch. His latest is set in the 19th century and centres on a young woman, Fatma, who is passionate about playing the violin despite her family’s reservations and criticisms.
Audiences of Algeria’s public television, EPTV, are looking forward to a second season of the sitcom El Firaq, a comedy exploring marital and family situations through colourful characters.
Other channels have also announced some titles, including Echourouk TV with the second season of El Barrani and El Hayat TV with El Mouhajir.
