The Al Jazeera Documentary Channel and Al Jazeera Balkans have signed an agreement to “establish cooperation and provide support through financing, distribution and co-production for documentary and other film-makers from South East Europe, Southern Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa.”
From 2022 the Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, Al Jazeera Balkans and the AJB DOC Film Festival will launch AJD Industry Days @AJB DOC, a platform to help documentary directors find funding for a project and then, once completed, promote and sell their films at regional and international level. Industry Days will have three programmes and the film projects selected will be eligible for one of the four awards offered by each programme, sponsored by the platform’s partners.
