At a press conference, Tunisian Television (ETT) announced a new comedy series,
Yasmine and Fella.
Co-written by Omar Touti and Zouheir Raïes, this series centres round the daily life and tribulations of two sisters, Yasmine and Fella. The creators emphasize the importance of improvisation by the actresses during filming. It will be broadcast daily during Ramadan.
The head of ETT, Chokri Ben Nsir, explained that this series marks the resumption of programme-making by the Tunisian public broadcaster after a long interruption.
He also mentioned that a decree is being drafted to simplify regulations concerning audiovisual production.
