On November 20th Télévision Tunisienne’s new interim managing director, Rached Younes, had talks in Tunis with the Palestinian Minister for the supervision of the media and the press, Riadh Al Hassen.
The two sides agreed to sign a framework cooperation agreement focussing on the exchange of news reports between both country’s televisions. The Minister stressed “the historical relations” binding Tunisians and Palestinians, and dwelt on “the large Palestinian community in Tunis”. Mr. Al Hassen also expressed the wish to acquire one of Télévision Tunisienne’s serials being produced for Ramadan in 2016.
The Palestinian Committee for Radio and Television should soon launch a package of channels on Eutelsat, including a news channel.
