In a joint press release on July 10th, the telecommunications operator Telefónica and the Spanish Football League announced that the exclusive Spanish television rights for all La Liga matches during the 2015-2016 season have been bought for 600 million euros. But following its purchase of Canal Plus Spain, Telefónica will offer some rights to its competitors.
