The public broadcaster RTVE has finally moved out of the Buñuel Studios. Following an agreement signed there nearly a year ago, the studios now belong officially to the property company Pryconsa. The transaction will bring RTVE 33.7 million euros.
The Buñuel Studios have been in the hands of RTVE since 1988, and they include L-3, one of Europe’s largest TV studios, covering 2,500 m².
In a statement published on its website, the group states that this income “will fund other construction and equipment”. New production studios should be built in the coming months at the RTVE headquarters in the Madrid suburb of Pozuelo de Alarcon.
