Following the first Gaza International Women’s Film Festival, which took place in October last year, the organisers are preparing a second edition entitled “Women Who Give Life Back.”
According to its founder, Dr. Azaddin Shalah, this theme will illustrate women’s lives and their capacity to “transform pain into hope and give birth to life despite all difficulties.”
“For the festival’s second year, we want to highlight inspiring experiences by women from around the world,” he explains, “through films which present the challenges they face, the evolution of their role in societies and celebrate their creativity as a tool for expression and change.”
This year’s festival plans to include a wide-ranging programme of screenings, seminars and workshops on script-writing, production and directing.
