TUNISIA / M. Mraihi confirmed as acting CEO of Télévision Tunisienne

Following the dismissal of Elyes Gharbi on June 16th, Télévision Tunisienne’s executive board agreed the appointment of Majid Mraihi as acting CEO of the public television service.

According to Télévision Tunisienne, “it was the Presidency of the Government which took the decision to appoint Mr. Mraihi, in accordance with Decree 116 of 2011 on the freedom of broadcasting communication.”

Majid Mraihi officially took office on June 21st. Since November 2016, he has been the public television company’s Director of External Relations.
