Triple A

Premiered on September 10th at Casablanca’s Megarama cinema, Jihane Bahar’s feature Triple A is now on release across Morocco.

Written by Ms. Bahar and Nadia Kamali Marwazi, it tells three love stories of marginalized protagonists whose destinies cross in an unexpected way. Between drama and black comedy, the film addresses many subjects such as delinquency, organ trafficking, incest and paedophilia.

It has won several awards at international festivals including the Best Foreign Film at the Soho International Film Festival (United States), the Audience Award at the Maghreb Film Festival in Haarlem (Netherlands) and the Jury Award at the Naples International Film Festival. Triple A is currently being shown in competition at the Alexandria International Film Festival.

Jihane Bahar is a Moroccan film-maker recognized nationally and internationally. Her first short film Shift+sup (2007) has won awards at several national and international festivals.
