MOROCCO / The CCM allocates €2.4 million to 40 festivals and film events

The Centre Cinématographique Marocain (CCM) has announced that a total of €2.4 million (24.6 million dirhams) will be allocated to film festivals and events across the country.

Out of 55 applications reviewed, 40 were selected. Among them is the Marrakesh International Film Festival, which will receive a grant of approximately €1.1 million (12 million dirhams). The Tangier National Film Festival will also receive the significant sum of nearly €700,000.

Other film events in the country, such as the Marrakech Short Film Festival and the Settat National Amateur Film Festival, will also benefit from grants ranging from €2,800 to €16,000.

Through this funding, the CCM aims to strengthen and promote film production and distribution in Morocco.
