MOROCCO / The 23rd FICAM combines animated films and video games

FICAM

The 23rd FICAM festival, which will be held in Meknes from May 16th to 21st, will combine animated films with video games.

According to the festival’s press release, “FICAM will focus on the fascinating interaction between animated film and video games. In a world where these two disciplines are increasingly intertwined, the festival will offer an innovative career forum, designed to encourage profitable discussions and sharing expertise. This platform will allow those present to meet professionals from the animation and video game sectors, through dynamic conferences and interactive meetings which will stimulate creativity and synergies.”

With this idea of linking two different areas of animation, FICAM is the ideal event for stimulating the digital creation professions.

Created in 2001 by the Institut français in Meknes , the festival will offer young Moroccans a programme of quality films –auteur animation for kids. Every year it gives awards to the best productions, organizes masterclasses and writing residencies.
